Ottapalam: Railways will issue tickets for children below 5 years of age without repealing the free travel facilities currently available for kids in this age group. The latest order facilitates passengers to book tickets for seats or berths for children, especially during long distance journeys. The tickets for children cost the same price of tickets for adults.
Earlier, the passengers could not avail tickets for children below 5 years and this troubled them, especially during long distance travel. The tickets for children will be issued from railway stations and online portals soon.
Children can travel for free if parents do not require separate seats for them, informed the officials.
