Thrissur: The move to reinstate stops at small stations between 12 am and 4 am is less likely to be carried out. Railways pointed out that the number of passengers relying on these minor stations are negligible. Many of the trains had not restored stops at these stations even after lockdown.
The passengers and people’s representatives had raised requests to restore the stops at minor stations. However, Thiruvananthapuram railway division manager R Mukund asserted that the stops could be revived only according to the decision of the railway board. He assured that all train services that ceased during the Covid spread will be restored in the state.
