Thiruvananthapuram: Thiruvananthapuram Railway Police nabbed a Tamil Nadu native on Sunday for stealing mobile phones from commuters.

​The accused has been identified as 22-year-old Rajkumar from Nagercoil. He was nabbed from Kottarakkara. The officials seized six mobiles from him and claimed the person has been involved in multiple mobile thefts in train.

They also detailed on the modus operandi of the accused.

The person used to steal mobile phones that are kept for charging during night. Once the phone is taken, he alights at the next railway station and boards another train.

These stolen phones were sold in Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, Kovilpatti and Nagercoil.
