Rahul Gandhi drops by deceased auto driver Shareef’s house whom he met during last Wayanad visit

Muttil: Rahul Gandhi visited the residence of auto driver VV Shareef, who died in an accident at Variyad in Wayanad on February 25, 2023. Rahul had met Shareef during his Wayanad visit in 2021. His travel in Shareef’s auto rickshaw on April 4, 2021 had grabbed headlines.

On Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi went to Shareef’s house and met his family comprising mother Aysha, wife Nishitha, daughter Aneesa and siblings Nabeesa, Musthafa, Seythalavi and Subaitha. Rahul had shared a tweet on the day he came to know the death news of Shareef.

The families of Ammini, who died in the same accident and Sharada, who was seriously injured, were also present in Shareef’s house to meet Rahul. The Congress leader enquired about Sharada, who is still undertaking treatment at a hospital. He was accompanied by KC Venugopal MP and T Siddique.

Rahul visits tea stall of Asees

During Rahul’s last Wayanad visit too, his stop at a small tea stall had attracted the attention of many. Rahul made a visit to a similar tea stall of Asees in Chundale and had samosa, chicken ‘ada’ and tea from there.
