New Delhi: CPM state secretary MV Govindan asserted that his party has not declared support for an individual in connection with the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi. Rather, CPM is against the anti-democratic action of BJP-led government against Rahul, said MV Govindan.
Govindan said that CPM should oppose BJP with all its might. If the BJP comes to power in the Lok Sabha election of 2024, India will be declared as a Hindu nation in 2025, which is the centenary year of RSS, warned MV Govindan.
CPM has openly extended support to Rahul without contemplating whether it would benefit Congress politically. However, the party will not compromise its stance to UDF in the state, said CPM secretary.
MV Govindan accused RSS of misusing the central investigative agency against the opposition parties all over the country. He said that special caution has to be resorted to ensure the anti-BJP votes will not split in the state.
