Questioning sincerity of CM is unfortunate, says Jacobite Church
Kolenchery: The Jacobite Syrian Church alleged that the Orthodox Church’s stand is unfortunate as they questioned the sincerity of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for intervening in the church dispute to resolve it peacefully.
The Orthodox Church is raising allegations because they are annoyed as Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan welcomed the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resolve church dispute.
If the chief minister and the government have any vested interests, he wouldn’t have welcomed the PM’s intervention, Media Cell Chairman Metropolitan Dr Kuriakose Mar Theophilos said.
The chief minister’s remarks during the speech at Malappuram was honest and factual. He did not blame the Orthodox church but informed the public regarding the matters related to the church dispute, he added.
