Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Public Works Department (PWD) has allocated Rs 170 crore to renovate 22 key roads to Sabarimala.

The PWD had earlier made necessary interventions to finish the road renovation works ahead of the pilgrimage season.

Meetings were convened in the months of September and October and works were evaluated by officials, who travelled through the roads personally, said the authorities.
