Malappuram: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader and Rajya Sabha MP PV Abdul Wahab’s praise for BJP ministers has irked the former’s party. The organization has decided to ask him for an explanation.

IUML president Syed Sadiqali Shihab Thangal in a media release on Wednesday made it clear that the party does not upholds Wahab’s remarks. IUML will seek an explanation over the context of his remarks, it added.

Wahab in Rajya Sabha had referred Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan as “ambassador of Kerala in Delhi." He also applauded Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

The remarks raised internal flak and IUUML leadership was forced to intervene.
