Kochi: The accused in the actress attack case had planned to commit a gang rape, according to the details in the supplementary charge sheet submitted by police at the Angamaly Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
With such an intention, they had made arrangements in the vehicle used to commit the crime. However, their plan didn’t not materialise, police say.
Dileep had entered into an altercation with the actress alleging that she spread rumors of Dileep having an affair with Kavya Madhavan. Dileep further asked Pulsar Suni, the key accused, to execute his ‘quotation’ without much delay. The charge sheet says he wanted Suni to execute the operation before the actress ends her acting career and enters marital life. He lodged the complaint with the DGP with an objective to portray himself as an innocent, police add.
Kavya Madhavan, wife of Dileep, has been named the 34th witness in the charge sheet.
The further investigation into the case was completed in six months and Dileep has been named 8th accused in the case.
Police have charged 11 offences including gang rape against him.
First seven accused in the case have direct involvement in the case. There are altogether 12 accused and two approvers in the charge sheet.
Vipin Lal, who wrote letter from jail and police official attached to the AR camp, are the approvers. The charge sheet was filed along with scientific examination reports related to the case. A total of 400 documents are included in the charge sheet.
