Public comments by Congress leaders: Mullappally conveys disapproval to high command
Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC President Mullappally Ramachandran conveyed his dissatisfaction to the high command regarding the public responses made by certain Congress leaders. Mullappally stated that the public response of the leaders will affect the party and the alliances. Meanwhile 96 new secretaries will take charge on Tuesday.
Local Self Government polls and Assembly polls are fast approaching in the state. Mullappally is of the opinion that the public responses by leaders will affect the party in the elections which will take place within a gap of 6 months.
Benny Behanan had resigned the post UDF convener the other day. Following this, K Muraleedharan resigned from the post of KPCC Media Campaign Committee Chairman. He even sent a letter to Sonia Gandhi without consulting the state leadership.
However, Mullappally did not seek an intervention from the national leadership in this regard. He said that the issue nee not be given serious attention in the state and that these were the personal opinions of the leaders. The state leadership believes that any sort of intervention is needed only if the problem intensifies.
