Kozhikode: Kerala Public Service Commission chairman Advocate M. K. Sakeer said that the PSC was on the side of the candidates.
Stating that nobody would be allowed trade in the name of PSC, Sakeer said the organisation will hold a suo-moto probe into secretariat officers running PSC coaching centres. Moreover, the PSC chairman promised action against coaching centres against whom allegations were levelled.
Government officials are not supposed to take up other employment while in service. There will be more action in this regard if a complaint is filed. Complaints we received before the examination were forwarded to officials concerned.
The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau had raided PSC training centres in Thiruvananthapuram. Based on a complaint from the Kerala Public Service Commission secretary, the vigilance raided all the major training centres in the capital city.
There had been allegations against training centres run by the public administration department in the secretariat. It is alleged that they had influences in the question paper section.
Following this, the public administration department issued a show cause notice to the officers. Both the public administration department and PSC had sought investigation into the matter. Based on this, the vigilance started the probe.
