Thiruvananthapuram: DYFI state secretary A. A. Rahim said that PSC were extending the protest by raising impractical demands. Some of the candidates have their politics. They want new posts to be created.
During a conciliation talk under the leadership of DYFI, the candidates were assured that more vacancies will be reported in documents. Had they agreed to it, many people would have received appointments. However, several of the protest leaders disagreed with it as they would not have benefited from the move. Had they agreed to it then, they would not have been able to stage a hunger strike and create violence during protests.
The PSC candidates should give priority to securing jobs and not their politics. DYFI is considering the PSC appointment controversy as a possibility. We will conduct political explanation campaigns at regional centres. Public meetings will also be held.
Those who received appointments during this time will be felicitated during the meetings. The final meeting will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Thiruvananthapuram on February 28, added Rahim.
