Thiruvananthapuram: A voice clip of CPI (M) Kannur district secretary M. V. Jayarajan directing cadres to defend attacks against the party in connection with PSC appointments on cyber space.

In the voice clip circulating on Whatsapp, M. V. Jayarajan could be heard directing party cadres that organised efforts were required to defend the party from social media campaigns in the PSC appointments issue.

In the voice clip, M. V. Jayarajan says that the CPI (M) will prepare the comments that must be posted by the cadres. Each local committee must post 300-400 comments. One cadre need not post more than one comment, he said in the clip.

The directions were aimed at increasing the number of likes for party social media pages. The direction, issued to office bearers up to branch secretaries, came out on the day a youth named Anu committed suicide. The PSC rank list with Anu’s name had expired before his appointment.
