Pinarayi Vijayan
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that protests organised in the state flouting COVID-19 protocols will not be allowed. The CM was speaking to the media through social media over COVID transmission in the state.
Even though it was mentioned the other day that there are attempts to sabotage COVID prevention activities in the state, certain factions are organising protests without any kind of precaution. This cannot be allowed.
Kerala is a state where the people joined hands and fought natural calamities and other disasters collectively. The leadership group of these protests and all those concerned should remember that it is an offence to encourage protests that violate COVID protocols.
The number of coronavirus cases through contact are on the rise in Kerala. In this context, Break the Chain campaign has to be taken forward strongly. People should maintain social distance. The Chief Minister also reminded that it is very important to wear masks in public places and to regularly clean hands using soap.
