Prosecution's plea rejected; Dileep’s foreign trip gets green signal
Kochi: The Ernakulam additional sessions court has allowed actor Dileep to travel Bangkok for film shooting. The prosecution’s plea that it was a planned move to influence the other accused in the actress attack case were rejected by the court.
Dileep has asked for permission to go to Bangkok from November 15 to January 5 for film shooting. The trip is part of the shooting of the film ‘Professor Dinkan’ directed by popular cinematographer Ramachandra Babu.
The film is scripted by Rafi. Namitha Pramod, Aju Varghese and Suraj Venjaramoodu are the other casts in the film.
The trial of the actress attack case hasn’t been started yet and it’s one year since the incident took place. The prosecution informed the court that the accused in the case including Dileep are moving the court with random petitions and preventing further court actions in the case.
The prosecution alleged the 'foreign trip' to be a planned move to influence the other accused involved in the case as most of them belong to the film field. But the court rejected the prosecution’s pleas.
The court asked Dileep to submit all details regarding the trip like lodging, places to be travelled in Bangkok and the details of people accompanying him.
