Thiruvananthapuram: A probe has been ordered against a policeman for booting SilverLine protestors during a demonstration in Mangalapuram near Karichira here on Tuesday.
Rural SP Divya Gopinath has announced a probe against CPO Shabeer of Mangalapuram police station. The policeman kicked the protestors during the skirmishes with the police.
The incident was widely ridiculed on social media after the visuals of the incident came to light. Based on this, an investigation was announced. Congress leaders also came forward with the protest demanding action against the policeman. Rural SP has tasked Thiruvananthapuram rural special branch DySP to investigate the incident.
