Kannur: Priya Varghese, wife of chief minister Pinarayan Vijayan’s private secretary K K Ragesh, on Saturday said she stands by her statement about the National Services Scheme (NSS).

Taking to Facebook, Priya said she withdrew the post after media reported that it would amount to contempt of court.

“If the constitution and courts are gone, then what will be left in today's India?,” she wrote.

The Kerala High Court on Thursday had cancelled the appointment of Priya Varghese as the associate professor at Kannur University. The court also directed the university to revise the rank list.

Following which, Priya had responded via Facebook that she has nothing to be sad about the court verdict.
