Kochi: A private bus rammed into the rear side of a car while overtaking through the left-hand side of a vehicle at Palarivattom here on Tuesday.
The incident happened on Tuesday morning after a private bus named Shana allegedly violated the traffic rule. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
The passengers in the car shot the video of the bus trying to overtake them. In the visuals, the speeding bus was seen trying to overtake through the left-hand side, resulting in the accident.
As per the Motor Vehicle Act, overtaking through the left-hand side of a vehicle is prohibited.
Earlier, Kerala High Court issued a strict order restricting private buses from overtaking and using horns that create excessive noise.
