Prithviraj backs actresses who quit AMMA
Actor Prithviraj has responded to the decision of Association of Malayalam Movie Actors (AMMA) to take back actor Dileep into the body.
Prithviraj aired his views on the issue in an interview to an English magazine.
I know Ramya Nambeesan, Geethu Mohandas, Bhavana and Rima Kallingal very well. I also know why they resigned from AMMA. I appreciate their courage. I stand with them. There may be people who criticise them. However, right and wrong are one’s own personal views. I will voice my opinions at the appropriate time and at the appropriate place. I did not participate in the meeting as I was busy shooting. Moreover, Dileep was expelled from AMMA not due to my pressure. The executive committee of AMMA collectively took the decision to expel Dileep. AMMA is an association that is capable of creating wonders in Malayalam cinema. Though I am a member of AMMA, I was not able to participate actively in its work till present. AMMA has helped lot of actors and actresses. Till now, nobody has invited me to act along with Dileep. If such an opportunity arises, I will think over it to take a decision,” Prithivraj said..
“The attack on my friend is the most saddening incident in my life. I have not recovered from the pain. I respect her courage,” Prithviraj said.
