Kollam: In a tragic incident, an architect was killed in an accident on his way to the hospital after experiencing physical discomfort. The police stated the reason of death was heart attack. The deceased was identified as Kollam native Prashanth G (44). He is the dean of Nizar Rahim and Mark School of Architecture (NRMSA).
Prashanth and his wife Divya were on their way to the Benziger hospital after he experienced severe physical trouble. Before he got to the hospital, the chest pain increased and he lost control of the car.
The car, after losing control, rammed into a shop at Kollam beach road. The accident occurred near the petrol pump on beach road. Although both of them were rushed to Benziger hospital, Prashant suffered a heart attack and could not be saved.
The front side of the car and the wall adjacent to the shop were damaged under the impact of the collision. Following the information from East Police, the fire force department reached the place and removed the car from there. Divya is a lawyer in Kollam Bar Association. She has suffered injuries in the accident and is undergoing treatment at Benziger hospital.
