Postal dept to deliver Life Certificates to service pensioners at doorstep

Kochi: Indian Postal Department will dispense the digital Life Certificate to the service pensioners via door-to-door service. The service will be ensured through India Post Payment Bank. Over 5000 mail carriers will be equipped with smartphones and biometric equipment for this.

The consumer has to pay Rs 70 as a service charge. The service pensioners of state government, central government, or any other departments can avail of this service to obtain the Life Certificate.

Pensioners have to upload their Aadhaar number, mobile number, PPO number, bank passbook, and details of pension account on the website http://ccc.cept.gov.in/covid/request.aspx or book the service via postinfo app. The pensioner will receive a Pramaan ID as a message on the mobile phone after successfully uploading the data to the website or submitting the details to the postman.

The pensioners can download their digital Life Certificate using Pramaan ID from the website https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/ppouser/login or receive it from the postman. The services of social welfare pensions cannot be obtained through this scheme.
