Those survivors staying in government care centres can’t return to their houses, but the accused have easily re-entered their houses. Though bail was granted on conditions, with the lockdown imposed, there is no thorough checking for violation of conditions. Also the survivors have no option to lodge complaints.
Malappuram Child welfare Committee Chairman Adv Shajesh Baskar said that the POCSO case accused coming out on bail create huge mental stress for survivors. Counselling is provided to them to overcome the situation. Service of psychologists and counsellors are ensured, he added.
