Kozhikode: Popular Front have come down heavily upon CPM District Secretary’s statement that Maoists are backed by Muslim extremists. The popular front has alleged that CPM is the BJP’s B- team. Rauf, a member of the Popular front state committee said that the CPM should not place the blame on Islamic politics if their party workers are turning into Maoists.
THe CPM is answerable if its members have become Maoists. The CPM’s attitude towards the politics of Muslims and Minorities so far, is an indication that it is BJP’s B- team.
The State Committee of the Popular Front meet is currently going on at Kozhikode. The Popular Front is of the view that the CPM in Kerala is following the anti-Islamic politics of the Sangh Parivar.
BJP leader K Surendran has released the first statement on the arrest of two youths on charges of alleged Maoist links. The police and now, the CPM have taken similar stance.
"If their party workers are joining the Maoists ranks , the CPM is solely responsible to respond and resist their movement. Moreover, the CPM's aim is to reiterate the BJP's stance and make gains in Kerala by administering anti-Islamic politics." Rauf maintained.
The Popular Front also considers the CPM district secretary's speech as a continuation of the CPM's soft-hindutva attitude which had previously raised the concern that Kerala would become an Islamic state.
