Kochi: The Christian weekly ‘Sathyadeepam’ pointed out that the church is being compromised to the vested interests of BJP, which functions against the minorities as per the agenda of RSS. This delivers an anti-democratic message to the society, according to the editorial in Sathyadeepam.

Allegations have been raised against the church leadership saying it is not raising voices when violence against christian communities are on the rise but is pressurising the Prime Minister to invite the Pope to India.

The editorial questions whether the death of Stan Swamy who fought for justice will be addressed or not. The leader of a secular nation acting as a representative of the religious majority is a matter of indignity, says the editorial.
