Political heat rises in Pala as Mani C Kappan and Jose K Mani take on each other
Kottayam: The political heat keeps rising in Pala constituency after Jose K Mani and Mani C Kappan decided to face each other. LDF and UDF will assemble behind Jose and Kappan respectively ahead of the Assembly election. Both of them are ready to carry out public rallies.
KM Mani’s statue will be unveiled by Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan on February 26 in order to invoke Mani’ s memories among the public.
Jose faction has decided to hold rallies in the constituency from February 20 to 27. Through this, they hope to counter the effect created by Mani C Kappan in Pala the other day. Jose faction will highlight the developmental activities undertaken by KM Mani in Pala constituency in the past 50 years. They have also decided to bring in as many people as possible in the LDF rallies which are to be held in the constituency.
Meanwhile, Mani C Kappan is careful not to hurt Left voters even when he takes on Jose K Mani politically. He will raise the developments brought by him outside Pala town. He has called for a meeting of leaders on February 22. It is reported that he will announce his new party on that day.
