The programme was organized by the Kozhikode City police in co-ordination with Suzuki Motors Pvt Ltd. They also gave exciting gifts to the traffic violators. Police also gave ISI marked helmets to those who drove without wearing helmets.
The new programme is an extension of the old one to create awareness on the importance of wearing helmets.
The police report suggests that the accidents decrease as awareness programmes have been made stronger.
