Police to form special groups for contact tracing in Kerala

The responsibility to implement instructions in each district has been assigned to senior police officers.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala police chief Lokanath Behera issued a notice instructing the formation of special groups, which includes 3 policemen led by an SI, in all police stations for tracing the contact list of COVID-19 patients.

Police will strictly ensure regulations in containment zones. Motorcycle brigades will be formed as part of this. All health care precautions, including social distancing, will be implemented here.

Large crowds will not be allowed in any public places. Special attention will be paid to vegetable-fish markets, houses where weddings are held or funeral ceremonies, bus stands and hospitals.

The responsibility to implement instructions in each district has been assigned to senior police officers. Kochi city Police Commissioner, Vijay Sakhare, will overview this responsibility, Lokanath Behera informed.
