Police photographs show Gandhiji’s photo frame hanging on wall after attack, says CM

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed the Kerala legislative assembly that the police investigation over the attack on MP Rahul Gandhi’s office is proceeding in Wayanad. He also added that a complaint has been received over breaking Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait in the office on the same day of the attack.

CM said that police officers, who arrived at the spot had dispersed the SFI activists by around 3.45 pm. Following this, only Congress workers were there in the office.

By 4 pm, the police photographer arrived at the office and took snaps. In those photos, Mahatma Gandhi’s photo frame was seen hanging on the wall, in its proper place. The media, including Mathrubhumi News, had broadcasted these visuals. However, when the pictures of the office were taken at 4.29 pm, Gandhiji’s photo frame was lying smashed on the floor. The photographer from the police department has given a statement to the investigation team regarding this.

CM stated that two cases were registered over the incident. The CM was replying to the submission notice issued by V Joy MLA.
