Kozhikode: The husband of the Kozhikode native vlogger, who was found dead in Dubai has been arrested in a fresh POCSO case by the investigation team under the DySP of Thamarassery. Police found out that the girl was a minor when she was married. He will be produced in the POCSO court in Kozhikode. The arrest happens when the youth’s anticipatory bail plea in the case of the death of his wife is under the consideration of the High Court.
The girl was famed as a vlogger and actor. She was spotted dead in her residence at Al Jafiliya in Dubai. She was staying with her husband then. Her family alleged conspiracy behind the death as she was active on social media even a day before her death.
The investigation team had obtained a video of the girl discussing the tortures she suffered from her husband, with another person, who had shared the apartment with the couple. In the 25-minute-long video, the girl said that her husband thrashed her mercilessly and what would her husband do if something happened to her during the assault.
After two months of the death, the mortal remains of the girl were exhumed and an autopsy was carried out. The autopsy report confirmed death by hanging. Following this, the girl’s mother filed a petition to find the reason behind her suicide.
