Kozhikode: In an attempt to identify the culprit behind the attack on a train in Kozhikode on Sunday, the police from Kerala have left to Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The Railway police team undertook the journey after receiving evidence that suggested that the attacker could be a native of Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) will investigate the incident from a possible "terror angle."

On Monday evening, a team of two Railway police officials travelled to Noida based on information that a man from the area was taken into custody in connection with the case. Although there has been no confirmation of this development, the Railway police decided to send officials to Noida. At the same time, the notepad found by the police on the railway track also suggests a connection between the accused and Uttar Pradesh.

Three persons died and several injured after a man set fire to a passenger allegedly after an argument on board the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express train near Elathur in Kozhikode district on Sunday night.
