Police book Swapna Suresh on KT Jaleel’s complaint

Thiruvananthapuram: The cantonment Police here on Wednesday has registered a fresh case against the gold smuggling case accused Swapana Suresh on a complaint filed by MLA KT Jaleel. In his complaint, Jaleel alleged that Swapana raised allegations against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and others as part of a conspiracy.

It is learnt that the police registered the case after seeking legal advice from the prosecution deputy director.

As per reports, along with Swapna Suresh, PC George will be named as the accused in the case. The case was registered under IPC 120 B and 153 which pertains to criminal conspiracy and deliberately giving provocation with intent to cause riot.

A special investigation team led by a senior official will be formed to probe into KT Jaleel’s complaint.
