Kozhikode: The police have booked a case in connection with the incident in which BJP state president K Surendran’s daughter was humiliated through social media. Police charged a case against Perambra native Ajinas on the basis of the complaint filed by BJP district president V K Sajeevan.
It has been demanded in the complaint that strict action should be taken against anti-socials who disgrace women through social media. The police informed that the complaint was received on Monday night.
K Surendran had posted a picture with his daughter on Daughters’ Day along with the caption ‘my daughter my pride’. Ajinas posted a mean comment below this picture and this sparked a controversy.
BJP leaders protested over the delay in taking action against the person. BJP leader Sandeep Warrier criticised that the police is hesitant to take action when somebody insults BJP workers.
The picture shared by K Surendran was shared by over 1000 people with more than 8000 comments. Majority of the comments were greetings to Surendran and daughter. However, there were some derogatory comments too.
