New Delhi: Fake antique dealer Monson Mavunkal moved Supreme Court for bail in the POCSO case against him. He alleged that the Crime Branch probing the cheating case against him forced and threatened his former employee to file a sexual assault complaint against him.
He claimed a VIP woman having a good rapport with the government figures was behind launching a Crime Branch probe against him.
Meanwhile, the probe team had completed questioning the survivor. They are now awaiting the return of the girl's brother and sister-in-law from abroad for questioning.
In the petition, Monson alleged that survivor didn't mention sexual assault when questioned initially. Further, he also claimed that the survivor was not a minor at the time of the assault.
Currently, three sexual assault cases, including one under the POCSO act, are filed against the fake antique dealer. Earlier, Kerala High Court had denied bail to him in all three cases. It is learned that Monson will likely file a petition seeking bail in other cases as well.
