POCSO case accused hacked to death in Thrissur


After COVID-19 transmission intensified in prisons, the inmates were allowed parole.

Thrissur: A man who was accused in a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act) case has been hacked to death at Elanad in Pazhayannur here.

The deceased is identified as Elanad Thirumani native Satheesh aka Kuttan (37). He is the accused in a case for sexually abusing a tribal girl hailing from Elanad.

Satheesh's body was seen in a deserted land on Wednesday morning. After COVID-19 transmission intensified in prisons, the inmates were allowed parole.

Following this, Satheesh availed parole and was staying in his native place for the last two months. Pazhayannur police started investigating into the murder.
