PM Modi to inaugurate Petta-Thrippunithura stretch of Kochi Metro tomorrow

Kochi: The Kochi Metro route between Petta-SN Junction will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. The inauguration will be held at the CIAL convention centre at 6 pm. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan will take part in the function.

PM will arrive in the state at 4:00 pm on Thursday. He will first visit Sri Adi Shankara Janma Bhoomi Kshetram, the holy birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya, at Kalady village near Cochin Airport.

Later, Modi will inaugurate the fifth reach of the Kochi Metro between Petta and Thrippunithura. At 9.30 am on September 2, Prime Minister will commission the first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant at Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kochi.
