PK Sreemathy slams police, calls CI Sunu 'habitual offender'


Taking to Facebook, Sreemathy called CI Sunu “a habitual offender.” Soon after, 139 others shared her post, thanking the leader for such open remarks.

Thiruvananthapuram: CPM central committee member PK Sreemathy came down harshly on the police negligence in connection with the custody of Beypore coastal CI PR Sunu, an accused in several cases.

Taking to Facebook, Sreemathy called Sunu “a habitual offender.” Soon after, 139 others shared her post, thanking the leader for making open remarks.

CI Sunu, who was taken into custody on Sunday over a gang rape complaint, is an accused in numerous cases including sexual assault. He was promoted as CI while there were pending criminal cases and departmental investigations against him.

Sunu was also jailed in another rape case while he was a sub inspector. He is reportedly facing around 8 departmental investigations.
