PK Kunhalikutty to resign MP post, return to state politics

The resignation will be made in such a manner that the Lok Sabha election will take place in Malappuram at the same time as the Assembly polls.

Malappuram: PK Kunhalikutty has decided to return to state politics. He will contest in the upcoming Assembly polls in the state after resigning his MP post.

The decision regarding this was taken at the Muslim League working committee meeting on Wednesday.

Kunhalikutty will spearhead the Assembly election works from Thiruvananthapuram. The resignation will be made in such a manner that the Lok Sabha election will take place in Malappuram at the same time as the Assembly polls.

Meanwhile, KPA Majeed informed that Kunhalikutty’s entry to state politics is the decision taken by the party and not that of any individuals.

Kunhalikutty is set to resign from the Lok Sabha MP post even before completing 2 years.
