PJ Army posts apology on FB page after P Jayarajan asks to change ‘PJ’ names
Kannur: The admin of the Facebook page titled “PJ Army” has posted an apology after P Jayarajan, State Committee Member of CPI, directed all social media groups to change the name “PJ” as the two-character name is the same as the abbreviation of his name. Earlier, PJ Army had shared a social media post published on “Porali Shaji” FB page over the Anthoor municipality issue. After deleting the post, the admin posted an apology on the page.
The post reads, “I never used this FB page to humiliate you or the party and will never do so. I tried to change the name of the page, but couldn’t succeed. It might be because I changed the name once earlier. And I am trying to change it.”
Earlier, the FB pages that support Jayarajan had shared posts against the chairperson of Anthoor municipality over the suicide of expat industrialist. This had become a matter of discussion in the state committee convened the other day, said reports.
Following the meeting, Jayarajan directed all to change names pointing that this could be used as a weapon by the other political parties to humiliate and criticise the party.
