Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday slammed the CPM report which claims that there is a conscious attempt to lure young women into the path of terrorism in the professional colleges in the state. The CM pointed out that the head of the intelligence department haven’t submitted any report suggesting that such activity is ongoing in colleges in the state.

Earlier, a note published for an inaugural address by the party had claimed that there are efforts being made to lure the youth into communalism and extremism in the state. Interestingly, the note was prepared before the controversial remark made by Pala Bishop that resulted in a major political and cultural rift here.

The remark was added under the subhead 'Minority Communalism' in the note prepared by the party for its leaders in connection with the inaugural address at various party conferences. The note pointed out that there is a conscious effort to attract educated young women in professional colleges to extremism. It is demanded in the note that the party members should pay special attention to this matter.
