Thrissur: KPPC President K Sudhakaran said he knew Pinarayi Vijayan as an honest individual who unfortunately turned corrupt after assuming the role of chief minister. Sudhakaran made these remarks while inaugurating the public meeting of the Youth Congress state conference in Thrissur.

Sudhakaran alleged that corruption had seeped into the chief minister's administration, especially to protect his family members' interests. He alleged that a government contract was awarded to a company owned by the CM's son's father-in-law, which he claimed was a clear instance of corruption.

Furthermore, Sudhakaran criticised the appointment of a government secretary to investigate corruption allegations. He suggested that such a move was aimed at suppressing potential revelations. He emphasised the need for a judicial inquiry to uncover the truth in allegations over the AI camera installation project and hold those responsible accountable. The recent fire incident at the medical warehouse was cited as an example of potential evidence destruction to conceal corruption records.

Sudhakaran also accused the BJP and CPM of colluding with each other, alleging a mutually beneficial understanding between the two parties. He claimed that they would shift blame onto the people in an attempt to deceive them.
