Pinarayi Vijayan upset as central agencies are probing in the right direction: Ramesh Chennithala
Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has criticised Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over his negative approach towards central agencies. The Congress leader noted that the CM is upset over the interrogation of Bineesh Kodiyeri under ED.
“Earlier, the CM had given a good certificate to central investigation agencies. But now, he has started to criticise the same agencies. It is natural that the CM would get upset when ED interrogates his party secretary’s son,” condemned Chennithala.
He pointed out that CM’s disappointment was expected after Bineesh Kodiyeri’s drug links and financial transactions of crores came to light.
‘Why does the CM get anxious over the probe into Sivasankar’s illegally obtained assets and appointments under him? This cannot be accepted in a democratic state. In every parliamentary democracy, the investigation agencies function based on rules. If any agency violates the rules, the government can question it. But such a situation was not reported in Kerala. When investigation agencies are trying to reveal the truth, the CM is ignoring the fact,” alleged Chennithala.
“The government is adamant that they are free to do anything illegal and that nobody should question it. Because of this, the investigation agencies are being questioned,” Chennithala added.
He pointed out that vigilance named Sivasankar as an accused in the case to save the IAS officer from the CBI probe.
“Vigilance case against Sivasankar was aimed to cheat us all. The public will realize this fact. If Sivasankar is named as fifth accused, the CM should be named the first accused in the Life Mission scam,” he said.
Pinarayi Vijayan did not utter the name of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah after assuming the office of Kerala Chief Minister. He is afraid of the duo. Pinarayi is the one person in Kerala who has received the most help from BJP, alleged Chennithala.
