Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday mocked the Kerala Students Union (KSU) protest in front of the secretariat. The CPM leader said he could not understand why the KSU activists were protesting.
In a Facebook live program, the CM said, “If the KSU is seeking to stop the functioning of Thiruvannthapuram University College, that will not happen.”
“I have not been able to understand the demand of the protesters. If they want University college to stop functioning, they must remember that efforts in that regard had not succeeded even when a government led by their political leadership (Congress led UDF) was in power. Now it will never happen. That’s what I have to say,” Pinarayi Vijayan added.
