Pinarayi Vijayan, K. K. Shailaja test COVID-19 negative
Thiruvananthapuram: The coronavirus tests results of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Health Minister K. K. Shailaja have come out negative. The CM and Health Minister underwent antigen tests on Friday.
The CM, Speaker and seven ministers had entered self-quarantine after Malappuram district Collector N. Gopalakrishnan tested COVID-19 positive on Friday. Gopalakrishnan had accompanied the Chief Minister and team during their visit to the Karipur flight crash site.
Along with the CM, Health Minister K. K. Shailaja, Minister for Local Self-Governments A. C. Moideen and Revenue Minister E. Chandrasekharan, Minister for Higher Education K. T. Jaleel, Minister for Industries and Sports E. P. Jayarajan, Minister for Agriculture V. S. Sunil Kumar, Minister for Port Kadannappalli Ramachandran and Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan had entered self-quarantine. They visited the Karipur flight crash site along with the Chief Minister.
At the same time, Rajbhavan informed that Governor Arif Mohammad Khan will not undergo self-quarantine. The Governor had also visited the flight crash site along with the CM and other ministers.
The Malappuram district Collector, sub-collector and 21 other officials at the collectorate tested COVID positive on Friday. Malappuram SP U. Abdul Kareem was diagnosed with the disease on Thursday.
