Kochi: In the affidavit filed by Swapna Suresh ahead of her statement under CrPC section 164, she alleged that chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed his wish to expand his daughter’s business to a Gulf country during a meeting with the ruler of the country.

The said ruler had visited Kerala in 2017, and met CM Pinarayi at Cliff House. CM expressed his wish to start IT firm (of his daughter Veena) in his country. However, it did not succeed, she alleged in the affidavit submitted to the Ernakulam Sessions Court.

She also alleged that the biriyani vessel, in which the contraband metal was allegedly smuggled into CM’s residence in the state capital, was brought from the house of the Consulate General. The vessel was closed with silver foil and no one was aware of what was inside it. The then principal secretary to CM, Sivasankar, ensured that the vessel was taken inside without any routine clearance, she alleged.
