Thiruvananthapuram: A physically challenged man who was injured in a bomb attack from his neighbour and was undergoing treatment at a hospital here, succumbed to his injuries. The deceased is Varghese from Neyyatinkara, who runs a coffin-making unit. His neighbour Sebastian threw a petrol bomb over him and he sustained grievous injuries in the attack.

Varghese was shifted to the critical ICU of the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College hospital as his condition worsened and his end came on Saturday morning.

The gruesome crime happened on Wednesday morning. Varghese was operating his coffin making unit close to the house of Sebastian. Irritated over this, Sebastian had lodged several complaints to the panchayat but since it did not warrant any action, no action was taken.

On the day of the attack, Sebastian threw a petrol bomb over Varghese from his house terrace and as Varghese was disabled on his legs, he was unable to evade the attack. Local people handed over Sebastian to police after nabbing him from the area.
