Kozhikode: Indian Union Muslim League state president Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal slammed the leaders who publicly declared their varying opinions in matters, including the ban on Popular Front of India. He warned that the Muslim League leaders shall maintain the party’s opinion in public. Otherwise, it would confuse the followers, added Thangal.

Thangal said that the leaders should uphold the same views on matters. The difference in opinion may lead to skirmishes among the party workers and the leaders have to keep an eye on this. He urged to maintain unity within the party to establish harmony within the community.

The discord in opinions among the Muslim League leaders had surfaced when state general secretary PMA Salam and Dr MK Muneer openly expressed their varying opinions regarding PFI ban. When PMA Salam asserted that the Muslim League did not welcome the ban, Muneer extended his support in banning the outfit.
