Kochi: Preliminary investigations into the death of law student in Perumbavoor pointed out to severe sexual assault before the murder. The victim was severely tortured and sexually assaulted before her murder just like Nirbhaya.
The attacker had used a sharp weapon to pull out her intestines which had sharp lacerations, the report says. She had over 30 stab injuries on her body. Her chest was pierced by a sharp knife on both sides. The cause of death is believed to be the severe injury inflicted on her head. Forensic experts will again conduct examination of the place.
The victim, was found dead in her house at Rayamangalam panchayat last Thursday night. The victim's mother, who returned from her daily work by 8.30 pm, found her lying in a pool of blood. She had sustained stab wounds on the back of her head, chest, chin and neck. Her internal organs were pulled out. She was lying bottomless.
The victim was a law student at the Ernakulam Govt Law College. Though she had completed her course, she had some pending papers and was busy in the preparation.
The girl and her mother stayed in a small house at Rayamangalam. Police say her mother was showing mental uneasiness and were not in good touch with their neighbours. The victim's father separated from the family long back. The victim has an elder sister who is married and settled.
