Kannur: A Covid patient hanged self at the Covid first line treatment centre (CFLTC) in Peravoor here. The deceased was identified as Manathana native Chandresh (28).

He was found hanging in a room adjacent to the toilet at the CFLTC on Saturday morning. The body was shifted to the mortuary in Thalassery general hospital for post-mortem.

Chandresh was diagnosed with Covid two days ago and was quarantined at his house. Later, he was shifted to the CFLTC on Friday night.

Chandresh is son of Chandran and Sumathi in Kundemkavu colony. He has three sisters.
