Kochi: Police on Friday arrested three persons in connection with the case against the Peace International School here for for operating without proper sanctions and for following a syllabus which was ‘unsecular’ in nature.
The arrested persons are in charge of the publication department of Burooj Realization, the publication firm that printed the controversial book.
Police have found that this firm also conducted training to teachers.
The arrested persons will be questioned by officials led by Ernakulam assistant commissioner and will be presented in the court on Saturday.
The FIR registered by Palarivattom police said that the school’s syllabus violated the existing education norms in the country and is found to be highly ‘unsecular’ in nature.
It gives undue relevance to a particular religion and even children in primary level classes are taught ideologies of religious extremism.
An investigation against the school and its activities were carried out following information that some of the people having links with the Islamic State have close ties with the school too.
Case has been registered against the school principal and management trustees.
The school management has given the explanation that though the book contained the portions that is alleged to be highly se mangemnt has given the explantin that though the book contain the portions that is alleged to be unsecular in nature, it said that the school did not teach this to the students.
