PC Chacko to be NCP state president replacing TP Peethambaran

Thiruvananthapuram: Veteran political leader P C Chacko who quit Congress and joined NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) recently will become the state chief of the party.

NCP national president Sharad Pawar granted permission to appoint PC Chacko as the state president of NCP.

TP Peethambaran is the incumbent state chief of the party. One faction of NCP workers had requested the national leadership to change Peethambaran from the state president post.

Following this, P C Chacko was recommended as the new state president and the national leadership accepted the suggestion.
